The average human adult is made up of 7 octillion atoms. That’s 7,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000!!

A dolphin has one eye open while it sleeps. Only half the brain sleeps at a time. Whilst the right side is sleeping the left eye shuts and then they alternate after a couple of hours and the left side sleeps with the right eye closed.

By the time we reach adulthood the average person has at least 60,000 miles of blood vessels. Enough to wrap around the world more than twice!

As frogs shed their skin they push it into their mouths to eat it. This sounds kinda gross but is thought to serve a useful purpose. This skin contains lots of useful components including proteins and so this allows them to recover them. (Credit: Helin – comments section)

    Frogs shed and eat that skin, to recycle all the components they used to produce their skin.
